Ruff & JamRuff & Jam (Respectively Jean-Marie Moens & Luke Mourinet) is a duo of Producers, Remixers, Songwriters and Recording Artists based in Belgium.

In the early days of their collaboration in the mid 90s, they’ve developed a couple of pop acts for the French market with the leading major companies. 

In 2001 the duo decided to wear the remixer’s hat so they picked up the Ruff & Jam Handle and founded their Remix & Production Company : Ruff & Jam Recordings, that same year they’ve started remixing  for a couple of British Artists including Sophie Ellis Bextor.

Grammy Award 45th Edition2002 was  the emerging  year for Ruff & Jam with their official U.S. Radio Mix for Kylie Minogue and Billboard Magazine wrote : ‘With its innovative and catchy remix of Kylie Minogue’s “Love at first sight” (Capitol) riding high on the Billboard dance charts, Belgian production unit Ruff & Jam has made a big step onto the international scene.’

Ruff & Jam got their first Billboard #1 and a Grammy Award nominated Remix within the Best Dance Recording Category.

In 2004 they’ve penned ‘Another Day (Can’t let go)’ & teamed with British Singer Nina Babet (Ozark Henry,Milow…) It  became their first single as Ruff & Jam and was released on Sony Music.

Their single hit the Dance Charts at #3 as best new entry and gave them their first Top 20 in the National Charts.

The record received a massive support from radios and an outstanding support among the most respected & Prestigious DJ/Producers including Armand Van Helden, Judge Jules, Tiesto (#1 in his playlist), Ferry Corsten, Joachim Garraud (F*ck me I’m famous),Olav Basoski to name but a few…

The KillersThey kept on being prolific as remixers and delivered some reworks for The Killers, Robbie Williams, Bob Marley,Marianne Faithful, Sugababes, Amy Winehouse, Frou Frou, Scissors Sisters, Placebo,The Spinto Band,Polyphonic Spree, Mary J Blige, Tiga,we’re from Barcelona, Au Revoir Simone,Mika and more.

As well as collaboration and mix for Composer Extraordinaire Craig Armstrong and official Radio Mixes for Axelle Red, Delavega & Ozark Henry.

Origin SynthesizerTheir love and skills for electronic music has given them the opportunity to make some Sound Design work for virtual recreations of legendary synthesizers so they designed factory presets for Arturia’s ARP 2600 V, PROPHET V, JUPITER 8 V and will be in charge of Factory Presets for Arturia’s ORIGIN Hardware Synthesizer.

In 2007, they’ve founded their label Over:Kraft and signed a deal for one of their act on the legendary Southern Fried Records Label (Armand Van Helden, Mighty Dub Katz(Fatboy Slim)…).

2008 is the debut of an exciting partnership with Talpa Music.
